Blundellsands is at the heart of England's Golf Coast (home to the highest concentration of championship links courses in the world, including three of the top 20, and seven of the top 36 courses in the UK and Ireland).
Southport, is widely considered to be England's golfing capital and offers 15 top golf courses, six of which are championship standard. The jewel in the crown Royal Birkdale, plays host to The Open Championship.
